Kiara Velez Writer

Kiara Velez is a staff writer at ‘The Record Underground’. Bringing her taste of 60s psychedelia and introspective Gonzo journalism to her articles, she is pursuing the actions of political and conscious movements in today’s world through her word choice and imagery. Currently finishing up a Bachelor’s in Journalism from UCF, she is working hard to bring a narrative to the Miami music scene and help bond people’s perspectives in her writing. Kiara is eager to blend the taste of literature, film, and feminism into ‘The Record Underground’. Being inspired by the works of Bob Dylan, Jefferson Airplane, and Hunter S. Thompson, she holds the goal of creating a difference in the world of journalism.
